Since 2014 we have designed, built and shipped electric vehicles at scale — e-mopeds, motorcycles, kickscooters, dirtbikes. The battery science, the electronics and the manufacturing behind your cart come from a decade of doing this every single day, not from a first attempt.

NIU is founded
Founded in Beijing with a single idea: an electric two-wheeler, smart from the ground up.
2015
The N1 launches
The first NIU reaches riders and resets what people expect from an electric scooter.
2016
Going global
NIU crosses into Europe and starts building the market network that now spans fifty-plus countries.
2018
NASDAQ listed
NIU goes public under the ticker NIU, and the international expansion accelerates.
2020
First e-motorcycle
The RQi takes NIU beyond mopeds into full-size electric motorcycles.
2021
First e-kickscooter
The KQi series brings the NIU promise to first- and last-mile commuters.
2023
First e-dirtbike
The XQi3 takes the platform off the pavement and onto the trail.

First golf cart
Four seats, an 11.2-inch HD touchscreen with CarPlay, full LED — and a five-year battery warranty.
